About Crossover

As an initial investor in the company back in 2007, John has played an active role on the Board of Directors of the corporation till May 2020 when he became an active member of the management team. John is a CPA, CA and an active member in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. John has previously worked in two distribution companies where he played several roles including capacities of CFO, VP. Operations, VP. Business Development, National Sales Manager and President and CEO roles. John started his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers after graduating from Wilfred University with a BBA degree.

After several years in Public accounting John moved to one of his customers which was a Distribution company selling and operating in several vertical sales marketing including Audio Video, Wireless Broadband, Telecom and CATV. After being promoted through several positions through his 7 years from Financial Accountant to President he left to work with a smaller manufacturer to manage their sales, marketing and operations in Canada. During the 11 years as the President and Country Manager he grew the company sales by more than 300+ percent. John has two children who were very active in competitive sports which gave him an opportunity to coach soccer and become the President and member of the Board of Directors at the Burlington BG’s gymnastics club.

In his free time John can be found travelling or on a local golf course.

As a founding partner and member of the Board of Directors since the company was established in 2007, Darin is responsible for developing Crossover's go to market strategy, vendor relationships and business development initiatives. A technology visionary with 30+ years of senior management and sales experience, he is a proven leader with a keen sense of embracing and positioning new technologies with Crossover's customers across North America. Darin cut his teeth at Motorola learning trunked-radio and public safety first responder systems, mission critical SCADA and telemetry systems and was a key team member in the deployment of the first underground wireless leaky feeder communications systems for the mining industry.

After Motorola, Darin held management and senior sales positions at a large publicly traded distribution and system integration company bringing licensed microwave, fixed wireless broadband, hybrid-fiber coaxial cable, fiber optic and IP network solutions to various Tier1 to Tier 3 service providers, utility companies and value-added resellers. During his tenure at Crossover, the company has expanded into 3G/4G/LTE macro and in-building wireless/DAS solutions and the company is currently transitioning to support 5G and converged network solutions.

In his free time, Darin can be found playing hockey, downhill skiing, golfing or playing music at family or social functions.

As Director of Engineering, Ajai leads the technical team at Crossover. Ajai is a licensed Professional Engineer and has nearly three decades of experience in the Wireless, Telecommunications and Broadcast industry covering Manufacturing, Design, Testing, Optimization, Commissioning & Maintenance of large systems encompassing technologies across different mediums - copper, fiber and wireless.

Ajai is highly proficient and experienced in the use of RF planning & design tools like iBwave for in-building systems and Pathloss for Microwave link design. Ajai has been involved in a number of pioneering projects across the world including communication systems in the Arctic, telemetry systems for large power utilities in Canada, communication systems for the Oil, Gas & mining industry in Canada and In-building wireless systems for large government facilities in different states across USA. He also implemented one of the first wireless communication system for the Railways in India.

Ajai loves design challenges, learning new concepts and ideas and applying them in his work. In his free time Ajai likes to travel, explore and learn about different cultures all around the world.

Carey has enjoyed an exciting career in the wireless industry since 2001 when he began working with Ajai and Darin (current executives) at a large, publicly-traded, telecom integrator company. Prior to that, Carey leveraged his fluency in French, Spanish, and Portuguese in an sales role for a Spanish exporter based in Valencia.

A lifelong learner, he holds a MA in international political economy, Canadian Sales Professional designation, Telecommunications College degree, and a global MBA, with a specialization in marketing and technology. Highlights of the MBA include first place finish at the prestigious RBC Innovation competition and close collaboration on a thorough, market feasibility analysis of an IPTV launch for a major telco.

Carey is passionate about building and being part of successful sales teams, advocating for and helping clients, and working with engineers, channel partners, executives and other stakeholders. He takes pride in converting complex technology problems (in varied arenas such as LTE, microwave, DAS and power) and converting them into simple, compelling solutions.

Carey is a busy husband and father who enjoys spending time volunteering in the community as well as coaching, managing and supporting two young sons in competitive soccer, hockey and lacrosse.
