HANNOVER, Germany – Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) announced the launch of the RADIAFLEX® Redeployable (RD) System, a portable TETRA coverage solution designed to provide reliable mission-critical communications in temporary and emergency situations.
Designed for fast installation and repeated field use, the system uses RFS’s leading RADIAFLEX® radiating cable. This acts as a continuous distributed antenna that is deployed from a portable drum, providing up to 600 meters of temporary TETRA coverage without the need for repeater infrastructure.
The RADIAFLEX RD System has been developed and tested in collaboration with two major UK fire services. This has included testing in high-rise and underground environments such as The Shard and Charing Cross Station to ensure deployability and operational performance in real-world conditions. The system supports deployment across both 430 MHz and 870 MHz TETRA bands and can be configured for voice communications, telemetry monitoring, or both with filtering systems designed to eliminate interference.
